Hi! I’m Lulu Cox—owner, chef, and founder of Amuse Bouche Personal Chef Service in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of creating fine-dining experiences across the Yampa Valley, from intimate dinner parties and weddings to large-scale events like WinterWonderGrass and SBT GRVL.

As a kid I loved to cook. I always wanted to get my hands in on the action, getting dirty, and creating fun meals for my family. I was fortunate that my family also liked to cook and share these experiences with me. My maternal Grandmother was from Belgium, teaching me what it meant to enjoy 4 hour dinners, tasting wine, and learning the pleasures of a 6 hour slow braised veal stew in a white wine sauce with cipolini onions. And my Paternal Grandmother, was from Alabama, where she taught me to fry okra, and use Coca Cola to sweeten and braise a Ham to perfection for the mulititude of family gatherings. These experiences, along with a culinary degree, shaped me to be who I am as a chef today, and gave me an extraordinary appreciation and wealth of diverse culinary traditions and recipes that I still use today.
